Active Ingredients (in each tablet)

Purposes

Acetaminophen 325 mg Pain reliever / Fever reducer
Dextromethorphan HBr 15mg Cough suppressant
Guaifenesin 200 mg Expectorant
Phenylephrine HCI 5 mg Nasal decongestant

Uses


temporarily relieves these cold symptoms: • cough • sore throat • minor aches and pains • headaches • nasal congestion • helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive • sinus congestion and pressure • fever

Warnings

Alcohol warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.
Sore throat warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.


Do not use • if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product • Do not use with any other product containing any of the above active ingredients


Ask a doctor before you use if you have • heart disease • high blood pressure • thyroid disease • diabetes• trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland • cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus) • chronic cough that lasts such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema or chronic bronchitis


When using this product • do not use more than directed • may cause or aggravate constipation


Stop use and ask a doctor if • new symptoms occur • redness or swelling is present • pain gets worse or lasts for more than 7 days • fever gets worse or lasts for more than 3 days • you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless • cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back or occurs with fever, rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition.


If pregnant or breast feeding, ask a health professional before use.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Prompt medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.

Directions

• Adults and children 12 years of age and older: take 2 tablets with water every 6-8 hours as needed; do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours or as directed by a doctor 
• Children under 12 years: do not use this adult product in children under 12 years of age; this will provide more than the recommended dose (overdose) and could cause serious health problems
